Wear yellow for World Mental Health Day

On Friday 9th October, we will be marking World Mental Health Day at Banwell Primary School.

World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of mental wellbeing and to remind children that looking after our minds is just as important as looking after our bodies.

To help support this important message, we invite all children to come to school wearing something yellow alongside their usual school uniform. This could be a yellow jumper, T-shirt, socks, hair accessory, ribbon or any other yellow item. This is not a non-school uniform day.  There is no cost involved, and participation is entirely voluntary.

Yellow has become a symbol of positivity, hope and the importance of talking about mental health. We look forward to seeing a splash of yellow around the school as we come together to recognise this important day.
